My husband and I took the Fourth of July cruise and it was amazing. It was impeccably run by kind and knowledgeable people. We saw multiple firework shows and enjoyed every minute of our trip. Also, as a teacher, it was great to be able to contribute to a nonprofit that dedicates itself to educating children about FDR, the Great Depression, and WW11. The employees were so dedicated to the furthering of education that when I mentioned I was a history teacher they gave me teaching materials to further the message of FDR and his important place in history. I cannot recommend the USS Potomac cruises enough. It is worth every penny!!

A historical yacht that is still functional. Tours are available to the public and can be booked through their website. There is also a gift shop inside the port building.

Great organization with passionate volunteers preserving a historic vessel and hosting fun cruises on the bay. Great for education and entertainment alike.

It was a wonderful experience. I was disappointed that one young couple in their 30's, grabbed two prime seats, despite 90% on board we're senior citizens, and never offered anyone a seat for the entire cruise. Also pushed to get off the ship first. I think the docents cloud manage rude passengers, such as the two on 9/30, in a manner which is more fair.

We took the 2 hour history cruise which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in pour group. The ship restoration is accurate and spectacular. The highlights were the super knowledgeable and friendly volunteers, the history narration, and the presence of Theodore Roosevelt himself! Iwas worth every penny. Also easy parking at 2nd and Clay.

If you are visiting San Francisco, or live here like myself, this is a must. The USS Potomac is a beautiful ship with great history that is easily accessible from San Francisco. A 25 minute ferry ride across the to Jack London Square and a short walk brings you to FDR’s Presidential yacht. The staff and volunteers are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. If you wish to see the beautiful views of the San Francisco Bay on historical ship, this is your ticket.

Fantastic experience! The volunteers are so knowledgeable about the history of the vessel. I would 100% recommend this to anyone. I took my dad on the Father’s Day cruise tour. He’s been wanting to tour the Potomac for several years but never got around to it. He said the cruise/tour exceeded his expectations, and he had high expectations. We boarded the boat and took ourselves on a self guided tour first. Then we asked one of the volunteers for a tour. Chris was fantastic! He answered all our questions. He and my dad also served in the Navy and Marine’s, respectively, so they connected about those experiences. My dad says he wants to bring future house guests to the tour.

Wonderful! I highly recommend this over other bay cruises. Not only do you get a cruise of our beautiful bay, but you also get immersed in the history of the bay, in local WWII history and interesting tibits from Roosevelt's life and presidency. I think this is especially good for out of town guests...so much packed into one outing! Also, a big shout out to the many volunteers who run and staff this organization. Kind, professional and organized. Thanks for a great day folks! PS we also saw a mama & baby whale right under the golden gate bridge! BONUS

Historic yacht, lovingly maintained by volunteers. It's a great glimpse into the past and history of the United States of America. If you can, she still sails for cruises around the bay, and is well worth a visit. Just remember to wear warm clothing as the wind does whip up on the water.
